The feeling of excitement in the air rose as doors opened and Detroiters made their way inside Saint Andrews Hall to see their favorite groove machine of a band. This indie band from Birmingham, Alabama has taken the indie scene by storm with unique sound that leaves you in a state of nostalgia from something you've never even experienced, and on October 13th they were bringing that feeling to Detroit, Michigan.

Opening band Bendigo Fletcher has made their way around the states a few times this year notably on tour with fellow indie band The Backseat Lovers and in the time spent on these tours has amassed a few fans in the genre obviously as concertgoers sang along to one of their most popular songs " wonderfully bizarre". Bendigo fletcher certainly wowed the crowd as lead vocalist Ryan Anderson displayed an incredible vocal range, and the proclaimed ho down really got the crowd into the fun time they were proposing.

But nevertheless everything lead up to this moment when the lights dimmed and the lights flashed as band members of Brook and the Bluff made their way onto the stage. Their performance resembled an 80s music video full of life and dancing. throughout the night they performed their hit songs from their breakout album first place all the way to their latest release long limbs even playing a classic cover “ harvest moon “ by Neil Young. This show slowly became of the favorite show environments ive taken part in with the light, fun and careless vibe. The musicianship of the band was spectacular especially when they seamlessly hopped up a key in their Hit song “ halfway up”. And when the show was done Detroit audibly declared that they needed more of that amazing night as they roared for an encore ot which Brook and the Bluff kindly obliged. Youll definitely want to keep an eye out for this group if they’re coming into your area.
