CAGE THE ELEPHANT AND YOUNG THE GIANT AT PINE KNOB

Saturday the 10th in Clarkston, MI, Cage the elephant with supporting act Young the Giant and rising stars Bakar and Willow Avalon were on the marquee to perform at Pine Knob music theatre and perform they did. first out of the stage was A southern belle coded woman with a voice and personality that could've only been bred from Georgia, USA. Willow (right) dropped jaws with her sweet but powerful vocals incredible band and the way she set up her performance with clips of her grandmother singing in between songs if you have a chance be sure to give her a listen if you're looking for a new southern artist for all of your fall bonfire activities.
next up was new and quickly emerging artist Bakar (left) who's song "hell and back" went viral on tiktok for its catchy hook and dance afro beat in a time where afro beat artists such as Tyla, Rema, and Burna boy have made an exponential rise into the mainstream listeners playlist and Bakar found his way into this wave whilst bringing an indie-rock flare in creating a gorgeous blend between these two majorly popular genres  in gen-z culture. although bakar played with tracks in a lineup full of insane band talents he managed with his knack for performance to give the same amount of energy and show audiences how vast his catalogue of music and talent is.
and while energy was high in anticipation for headliner Cage the Elephant, the crowd at Pine knob was lucky to have an artist who is extremely established and well versed in performing in Michigan as lead singer Sameer Ghadia was born in Ann Arbor, MI, this artist being no other than Young the Giant most popularly known for their breakout album Mind over matter that was released in 2014 and was a catalyst to this bands success. as they walked on stage it was evident that there was an abundance of fans of this band in the audience displayed by how the amphitheater erupted in screams as they kicked doff their set.  lead singer Sameer Ghadia had an unbelievably dynamic and emotional voice that shined in every song played with the band. the time that this band has spent together was very easily noticed by how they clicked as performers and musicians on stage and any person at that show could've left that set satisfied but lucky enough there was one more set to get to
Cage the Elephant came out hot and that is not an overstatement as the first glimpse we got of the band they were engulfed in pillars of fire that shot up nearly 10 feet. despite lead vocalist Matt Schutlz being on a scooter due to a recent foot injury his energy and ability to rock and captive the crowd was not hindered in the slightest by this obvious hinderance to one's physical movement.with guitarist and brother of Matt, Brad coming off stage to rock out with the crowd at pine knob, an incredible laser and pyro presentation and high energy from the band throughout the night this show was nothing short of electric in all that it was. and with their latest release titled Neon pill  the skyis the limit for this already well known and loved band. make sure to check out everyone who made this night as special as it was
